At Fairchild Wheeler Magnet School this year’s introductory STEM Camp project is to create face masks and a marketing campaign to get teenagers to wear them. They are also learning about the science behind masks and their effectiveness. The goal is to make 10,000 face masks and a “wear your mask” commercial. Fairchild received a donation of supplies from KUBTEC Medical Imaging of Stratford. The masks will eventually be donated to nursing homes and child care facilities.
