Enabling precision surgery for breast cancer & more

The Importance of Specimen Imaging in the OR

Efficiency and precision are critical in the Operating Room. If a surgeon has to wait for imaging results during breast conserving surgery, it is a major pain point. Having a specimen radiography system in the OR solves this problem and improves workflow. However, having a 3D tomosynthesis imaging system in the OR can also enable precision surgery. 3D tomosynthesis helps identify surgical margins in three axes, and facilitates lower re-excisions and increased tissue preservation by visualizing more information than 2D imaging.
